HAUS

Innovations

HAUS currently produces several multi-functional, high nutrition foods as crispy snacks. These include lacto-fermented okra pickles (adding pro-biotic and pre-biotic bacteria), high protein mozzarella balls, green olives (in olive oil), and banana chips. We are committed to growth and R&D, and therefore seek to extend our current products:

  • Cyanobacteria (Algae) based functional foods
  • Customised foods for challenging conditions (such as desert environments, long winters, space missions, and last mile delivery in remote areas)
  • Social-minded business model that allows food manufacturers and supermarket chains donate defective food products to us so that we can process and make them into healthy crispy snacks, thus preventing food waste.

Partnering Objectives

  • Collaborating with companies, who have experience in the field of functional foods to co-develop new products that address the needs of different market segments
  • Working with a partner to scale up our production capacity, and expand our R&D team to develop new products
  • Undertaking a market analysis and explore business processes, and trade our know-how with our potential partners in the UK

Company Story

HAUS was established in the end of 2017 to address the issue of expensive and/or limited access to long-life foods with high nutrition in Asian countries due to weather conditions. We developed functional food products using freeze-drying. This process bypasses the use of frying or any chemical process, additives, and preservatives. Thus, HAUS transforms high nutritional foods, fruits, vegetables and dairy products to 100% natural, crispy and healthy snacks while preventing loss of vitamins and minerals as well as maintaining shape, taste and smell of fresh food. We are using technologies implemented and proven in the pharmaceutical and bioengineering sector; hence, our processes extends the shelf life of food products up to 30 years. We seek to address human needs in different and sometimes difficult conditions (such as desert environments, long winters, space missions, and last mile delivery in remote areas) while preventing food waste and maintaining a healthier future.

We also work directly with farmers and receive food donations from manufacturers, who in turn obtain tax benefits. This maximises our social impact and prevents food waste while providing affordable and tasty products to the market.
